AI’s real promise isn’t replication. It’s mutation.
A lot of AI experiments are stuck at replication. “Make it look like X, but faster/cheaper.”
Mutation gives us the chance to break from habits and invent something we don’t even have words for yet.
Every new technology in art/media only matters when it invents a new grammar, not when it just pastes itself onto the old one.
Maybe the AI-native medium is closer to simulation, interaction, or dream logic than to linear cinema. Maybe it’s something between games, essays, and films.
We don’t need AI to create art like before.
We need AI to invent a new language: one that feels like dream, poem, memory, and simulation all at once.
